Douglas Hertford, M.D.

Dr. Hertford joined Manhattan Diagnostic Radiology in early 2003 after eight years in private practice as Director of Musculoskeletal and Body Imaging. Dr. Hertford began his career as an electrical engineer with a Master of Engineering Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School after which he completed his radiology residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. He spent his Fellowship training under the tutelage of Dr. Elias Kazam where he specialized in MRI and Body Imaging.

Dr. Hertford is board certified by the American College of Radiology and is a contributing member of several major radiology organizations. He has particular expertise in PET imaging; and musculoskeletal and body imaging using CT, MRI, and Ultrasond. Dr. Hertford has contributed to the development of several patented products and has expertise in computers and medical informatics.
