New Radiologists of 2007/2008
MDR Adds Two Doctors:
Melissa Scheer, M.D.
Dr. Scheer joined MDR in October, 2007. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and a 1986 graduate of New York Medical College, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center, and her fellowship in Imaging at Weill Medical College of Cornell University where she also served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology. Prior to establishing her own practice, Dr. Scheer was the Women’s Imaging Specialist at Northern Westchester Hospital. She brings over 12 years of experience to MDR, having interpreted over 50,000 mammograms and having performed thousands of ultrasound procedures and imaging guided breast biopsies.
She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Association of Women Radiologists, the Society of Breast Imaging, and the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group.
James W. Brady, M.D.
Dr. Brady completed his radiology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 1982. He spent the first ten years of his career practicing interventional radiology in a hospital-based practice. From 1992 to 2007, he was in private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan specializiing in Women's Imaging with an emphasis on hysterosalpingography, fallopian tube recanalization, breast imaging and percutaneous biopsies. He joined Manhattan Diagnostic Radiology in 2007.
Dr Brady is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging.
